Zentangle is an easy to learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with a personal sense of well being. The class will provide a beginner with a background in the history of Zentangle, introduce them to the basic steps and methods and expose them to the associated vocabulary and tools. Students will create two actual Zentangle tiles and will understand that “anything is possible one stroke at a time.” Ages 15 up.

Diane Trew is an artist with a degree in Textile Design and a minor in Drawing. “I have always been fascinated by pattern and have been an avid "doodle drawer" all my life. I discovered the Zentangle method of drawing in 2012 and have been addicted to it ever since. In 2019 I attended a seminar in Rhode Island to meet Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, the founders of Zentangle and become a certified teacher of their drawing method. I want to share this amazing art form with others as I find it is a wonderful creative tool, confidence booster and stress reliever.”
