Michelle Moen has been creating art through assemblage and last year she came from California to teach us wall collages for hanging...this year we are creating steampunk guardian angels. So Fun!!! Great way to use stuff you've been saving or we will have some stuff available at the class.

What is eco printing? The process of transferring organic materials to natural fabrics through steaming. You will learn a little about the science behind the process but most importantly you will have your scarf to show off and have fun doing it.

Painting Sunflowers…with Character and Sass! with Jennifer Stone
TWO DAY CLASS!
Jennifer Stone will be coming back to Appleton Art and Culture to share her technique in painting amazing sunflowers. She will spend time demonstrating two different techniques for the center of the flower and even has a template for those intimidated by drawing their own.

A School of Fish: Adventures in Reverse Acrylic Painting with Kathleen Marihart
The simple and magical shapes of fish are created by using the technique of painting in reverse using acrylic paint. Students will start out creating an abstract painting, use mark making technique, paint in reverse and use light and shadow to create depth. Students will have the choice to paint simple fish and have a completed painting in around three hours or learn the basics of using light and shadow to create fish with more dimension.
