Safe Home Canning Workshop with Dorothy Rosemeier
Canning home grown fruits and vegetables is a rewarding experience, especially when opening that first jar during the winter season. However, it can be a disappointment (and health danger) if not using the correct processing methods and poor-quality ingredients or recipes.
In this workshop, participants will learn the basic steps of safely canning fruits and vegetables using boiling water bath and pressure canning methods. Workshop participants will go home with two canned items from the workshop.
The class instructor is Dorothy Rosemeier: Textile Artist and Retired Extension Educator, focused on local foods and food preservation.
